Mavuno is not about information, but transformation. Exciting worship and hearing God’s word every Sunday
are the means to an end, not an end in themselves. Being at Mavuno should result in life-change; as seen in our work,
parenting, marriage, dating etc. From the believer who has walked with God for many years to the seeker who has not yet
given their life to Christ, we want the testimony of each person at Mavuno to be; “Im not what I’d like to be, but Im sure not
what I used to be”!
Two Truths And A Lie
Today’s pop-culture has many catchphrases and ideologies that have captured our imagination and have innocently found their way into our cultural lingo.
But what do phrases like YOLO, no human is limited, the power is in you, speak your truth, really mean?
All this to say, “Mavuno, welcome to our brand new October series titled “Two Truths and a Lie.” We will be interrogating these cultural ideologies and hope to amplify the truths therein while also identifying the dangers that lurk in the shadows.
