Welcome To Mavuno Church

Mavuno is not about information, but transformation. Exciting worship and hearing God’s word every Sunday
are the means to an end, not an end in themselves. Being at Mavuno should result in life-change; as seen in our work,
parenting, marriage, dating etc. From the believer who has walked with God for many years to the seeker who has not yet
given their life to Christ, we want the testimony of each person at Mavuno to be; “Im not what I’d like to be, but Im sure not
what I used to be”!

Watch The Sunday Sermon

This January, we begin a new sermon series anchored in Genesis 1:28, where God calls humanity to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and steward it well. This series is about awakening us to a deeper understanding of life, not just as something to be lived, but as something meant to produce fruit through discipleship.

In Be Fruitful, Pastor Muriithi Wanjau challenges us to move beyond being faithful believers to becoming fruitful ones—people whose lives show clear, visible evidence of God’s presence. Fruitfulness is not measured by activity or busyness, but by impact. It is seen when our lives add value to others in ways that point clearly back to God.

21 Days Of Prayer and Fasting

Happy New Year Mavuno Family. We are excited with our 2026 Theme which is

BE FRUITFUL: Success Markers for 2026

Our theme is based on Genesis 1:28 which commands believers to be fruitful, increase in number fill the earth and subdue it. Fruitfulness is God’s primary intention for our lives where we transition from being merely “faithful Christians” to becoming “fruitful Christians” who produce observable results of God’ present. True fruitfulness is seen when God’s character and influence manifest so clearly in a person’s life that observers recognize it “had to be God”.

 First Fruits Offering

In Biblical times, when harvest time came, God called his people to bring their “first fruits” – the first yield from their harvest to him as an offering. This demonstrated their obedience and reverence for God, and showed that they trusted Him to provide for them.

The Hebrew word for first fruit is ‘bikkurim’—literally translated to ‘promise to come’. The Israelites saw these first fruits as freeing their future. God told them that if they brought their first fruits to him, he would bless all that came afterward.
