Mavuno is not about information, but transformation. Exciting worship and hearing God’s word every Sunday
are the means to an end, not an end in themselves. Being at Mavuno should result in life-change; as seen in our work,
parenting, marriage, dating etc. From the believer who has walked with God for many years to the seeker who has not yet
given their life to Christ, we want the testimony of each person at Mavuno to be; “Im not what I’d like to be, but Im sure not
what I used to be”!

In an era of information age one would assume that it’s easy to get wisdom on how to have successful dating & relationships. In
the hum drum of life, we observe dating and relationships all around us; Some thriving while others struggle. Yet establishing healthy, lasting love relationships seems harder than ever before.
In the month of February, we’re having honest, biblical conversations about love, intimacy, and commitment suitable those who are single, dating, married, divorced, widowed, or waiting. This four-part series explores God’s design for relationships that honour Him and lead to real, lasting intimacy.

First Fruits
In Biblical times, when harvest time came, God called his people to bring their “first fruits” – the first yield from their harvest to him as an offering. This demonstrated their obedience and reverence for God, and showed that they trusted Him to provide for them.
The Hebrew word for first fruit is ‘bikkurim’—literally translated to ‘promise to come’. The Israelites saw these first fruits as freeing their future. God told them that if they brought their first fruits to him, he would bless all that came afterward.
