About Mavuno Berlin
Mavuno Berlin is located in one of the most secular cities in Europe, with a non-religious majority. The church is in an area known as Lichefelde (Meaning: Field of Light), near the World War II Barracks. The congregation at what is now Mavuno Berlin has been in existance for over 100 years, and was initially an EFG Church.
In 2011 the church became a Mavuno Church, and is now led by pastor Daniel Flechsig.

Mavuno is not about information, but transformation. Exciting worship and hearing God’s word every Sunday are the means to an end, not an end in themselves. Being at Mavuno should result in life-change for people; as seen in their work, parenting, marriage, dating etc.

We exists to church the unchurched teens in Nairobi bringing them to the knowledge of Jesus Christ which then transforms them to become fearless influencers of society. Secondly, to show a teen how much fun they can have in church today despite the pressure the world puts on them.

Our desire is to lead children to desire the deeper fun of intimacy with God. In the process, we believe that the children are ministers of the gospel, as they have talents and abilities that they can be nurtured to bless the church and wider community.
