Welcome To Mavuno Church
Mavuno is not about information, but transformation. Exciting worship and hearing God’s word every Sunday
are the means to an end, not an end in themselves. Being at Mavuno should result in life-change; as seen in our work,
parenting, marriage, dating etc. From the believer who has walked with God for many years to the seeker who has not yet
given their life to Christ, we want the testimony of each person at Mavuno to be; “Im not what I’d like to be, but Im sure not
what I used to be”!

In a world full of competing voices—culture, emotion, desire, fear, and spiritual language, it can be very confusing to discern which voice to follow.
God continues to speak today, always in ways consistent with His Word, His character, and His purposes. Yet not every voice we hear is His; some come from within us, and others voices seek to distort truth.
This series will help one to develop discernment, learn how God speaks, identify counterfeit voices and learn how to make decisions with clarity, confidence, wisdom and humility so that we can follow God’s purposes for us.

First Fruits
In Biblical times, when harvest time came, God called his people to bring their “first fruits” – the first yield from their harvest to him as an offering. This demonstrated their obedience and reverence for God, and showed that they trusted Him to provide for them.
The Hebrew word for first fruit is ‘bikkurim’—literally translated to ‘promise to come’. The Israelites saw these first fruits as freeing their future. God told them that if they brought their first fruits to him, he would bless all that came afterward.
