The Greenhouse is Mavuno’s children ministry. This is the most important ministry of the church as the future of the church lies in the hands of children! Our desire is to lead children to desire the deeper fun of intimacy with God. In the process, we believe that the children are ministers of the gospel, as they have talents and abilities that they can be nurtured to bless the church and wider community.

 A Unique Approach...

We have a unique approach in the delivery of our lessons. We prepare and teach lessons that are based on what the parents are learning in the main service. Our goal is to partner with parents and help them build the family alter. We encourage parents to review and process together with their children the lessons that they are learning. "I get so excited when I hear that mothers and fathers together with their children are growing together as they keep each other accountable to the word of God!"

We give children optimum conditions for growth with specialized care and nurture. Our classes begin from the ages of 2 to 13 year olds. Our passion and commitment to children is driven by the fact that 80% of people accept Christ as their Lord and Savior between the ages of 4-14. My passion at Mavuno is to have a lasting influence on our children; we are not holding back we are determined to invest in our childrens lives.

The Dream Team...

The ministry is served by a team of gifted individual’s who serve in different roles…

• Teachers: Help in teaching and communicate spiritual principles to the children in a large group setting

• Shepherds: Interact with the children on a one on one basis and help the children to apply the lessons, bring out responses from them and pray with them in small groups.

• Helpers: Sit in class and assist the shepherds in meting the children’s needs.

• Worship Arts Team: Lead the children in praise and worship.

• Crafts Team: Help in designing crafts that help the children communicate spiritual principles to children in a practical manner.

• Administration Team: Help to take care of administrative duties including set up and set-down, registration, provision of teaching aids and snacks.

• Prayer Team: Pray and fast regularly for all the needs of the children’s ministry.
